Drummer / The Otherness

My name is Stewart Gillies. My band is called The Otherness. I have played drums for scores of artists and working singers and bands, see my CV page for details. I lately have chosen to concentrate on my own project, The Otherness. You can find them on Apple Music and Spotify. I play drums and occasional keyboards for various musicians and up and coming stars. I also play bass, and at least 5 chords on guitar.  For a full list of some of the artists I've worked with please see my CV page.

I have composed the scores several short films including three by actor/director Josef Ber, and two for director/producer Natalie Palomo including The Child in Me, and several others.

I have a deep knowledge of engineering and music production, arrangement and studio technique. I have particularly developed skills in drum and percussion recording and the Apple music Production software, Logic.

I don't call myself a producer, because I'm not in the business of developing artists. Nonetheless, I have worked in this capacity with Sydney engineer and producer Bob Wheatley on many recordings.
